Plan Commission
The Town of Omro Plan Commission was officially created with the adoption of Ordinance No. 2004-02 on April 12, 2004. This ordinance repealed and replaced the previously established "Planning Agency" ordinance of 2001.
The Plan Commission cannot, on its own, make decisions considered to be “final”, but plays an important role in that it serves to review applications for land divisions, conditional uses, variances and zoning changes, after which it makes recommendations to the Town Board for approval/denial of such, along with any suggested conditions for approval.
Zoning Change ~ Conditional Use ~ Variance
NOTE: Because all Town of Omro property falls under Town/County Zoning, all applications will need to be initiated with the Winnebago County Zoning Department (920) 232-3344. However, those applications will be forwarded to, and addressed by, Town of Omro's Plan Commission and Town Board, in addition to the County. See the Town of Omro Fee Schedule for applicable fees.
Contact Planning Commission Chairman with any questions during your application / review process.
